Switching MS Therapies
TYSABRI may be the right alternative relapsing MS treatment.
If you haven't been helped enough by, or can't tolerate, another MS treatment, it might be a good time to talk to your doctor about TYSABRI®.
How can you tell if it's time to consider switching MS therapies? There's no exact way to know. You may still be having relapses even though you are on therapy. You may find it harder to recover from your relapses. Your disease may be progressing. You may have more brain lesions
. You may have a hard time with the side effects of your current MS therapy. Or, it could be a combination of all these things.
Only you and your doctor can decide whether or not to switch from your current MS therapy. But before making the decision, make sure that you discuss with your doctor:
Who shouldn't consider TYSABRI?
Don't receive TYSABRI if:
- You have progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML)
- You're allergic to TYSABRI or any of its ingredients
We don't recommend TYSABRI if:
- You have a medical condition that can weaken your
immune system , such as HIV
infection or AIDS
, leukemia or lymphoma
, or if you've had an organ transplant - You're taking medicines that can weaken your immune system
