Our specialists can help you with questions about your health insurance plan

If you have limited financial resources, you may be eligible for financial
assistance. The TOUCH Prescribing Program can help to find sources of financial
support for which you may qualify, including the TYSABRI Access Program, which
provides support to qualified uninsured patients. For more information, call
1.800.456.2255.
Most private insurance plans currently provide coverage for TYSABRI. Because
TYSABRI is often administered in the physician’s office, many insurers will
provide coverage under the “Medical Benefit”. Depending on your insurance
benefits, you may or may not have some financial responsibility for the cost of
the drug or the infusion co-pay when you receive TYSABRI.
The percentage of TYSABRI cost paid by your insurance company will depend on
your individual benefits. You may also have yearly deductibles or limits on
your out-of-pocket responsibilities that may impact the cost of TYSABRI therapy
to you. You should review your individual insurance coverage for a better
understanding of your benefits. The TOUCH Prescribing Program can also help you
understand your benefits as they relate to TYSABRI coverage.
Before starting TYSABRI treatment, it's important to find out:
- What type of insurance you currently have
- Whether and how your TYSABRI will be covered by your health insurance
- How much of the cost (if any) you will need to contribute
TYSABRI and Medicare
TYSABRI is available to Medicare patients under the Part B benefit. Under
this benefit, patients are responsible for a portion of the cost of the drug
and office visit and Medicare covers the remaining fees. However, there are
supplemental insurance policies available, which provide coverage for
out-of-pocket expenses under Medicare Part B. Beneficiaries pay additional
premiums for this coverage. TYSABRI reimbursement services can help you
understand your Medicare coverage and additional insurance options that may be
available to you.
